The High End Hippie was founded by Okanagan based Amy Hamilton. Amy sought out to create shampoo & conditioner bars that didn't sacrifice the quality of product you would receive at a trendy salon. She was a specialist working in high-end hotel spas and salons throughout the world before breaking out on her own to fill a very specific gap in the industry; clean, low waste, professional hair products for those seeking a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle. She has proven that you can pursue an environmentally conscious lifestyle without sacrificing beauty or luxury.

Environmentally Conscious Policy

1. Packaging

Their bars are packaged in custom boxes that are created and printed by the only Green e-certified printer in Canada. They joined their Carbon Neutral Program, developed in partnership with Off-setters, which enables them to neutralize their carbon footprint by investing in renewable energy and clean technology projects, including the Great Bear Rainforest Carbon Project in Haida Gwaii, British Columbia.

2. Labels

The High End Hippie uses compostable stickers with soy based ink.

3. Shipping

They recycle shipping materials, boxes, packing paper, use paper packaging tape, and save paper by not including packing slips.

4. Ingredients

Whenever possible they source ingredients that have a low carbon footprint, are sustainable, organic, biodegradable, COSMOS and ECOCERT 

5. All products are vegan and cruelty-free.

6. Sustainability Program

The High End Hippie has partnered with TreeEra, a Canadian-based social venture that works with businesses and individuals to plant trees in British Columbia, Ontario, Africa and Costa Rica.
