It supports a healthy barrier to reveal clearer skin. Boosted with glycerin and sodium PCA, this serum will help prevent your skin from becoming dehydrated, while still tackling problem skin concerns.

What is mandelic acid?

Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds. It is more gentle than some of the other AHAs like glycolic acid and lactic acid. AHAs work by exfoliating the layers of dead skin away by breaking the bonds between cells to reveal brighter, clearer skin, as well as, helping to clear pores and create a more even skin tone.

Designed to work synergistically with the power of S²RM®, NeoGenesis Mandelic Acid 8% helps support overall skin health to keep breakouts, blackheads, and acne-prone skin under control. Skin oils, bacteria, dead skin cells, and inflammation can trigger acne. Using skin care products containing mandelic acid help to regulate sebum production, unclog pores, and reduce irritation. This can result in fewer acne breakouts.

Mandelic Acid 8% is recommended for those with less severe forms of acne. It penetrates the skin slowly, making it suitable for all skin types – even the most sensitive. Mandelic acid differs from salicylic acid because it is a larger molecule that is gentler on the skin. However, salicylic acid may be stronger than mandelic acid and can penetrate deeper into the skin to break down sebum and the bacterial biofilm that exists deeper in the pore.

Mandelic Acid 8% also is beneficial for aging skin, as it softens fine lines and wrinkles. It smooths surface imperfections for improved tone and texture.

Directions for Application: After cleansing, apply 1 pump to face. Massage into skin. Use once daily, AM or PM.
